Catholic Hospice and Catholic Palliative Care Services Celebrates Excellence at Annual All Staff Event

On November 13, 2025, Catholic Hospice and Catholic Palliative Care Services proudly hosted our Annual All Staff at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens. This signature gathering commemorated National Hospice and Palliative Care Month celebrating the organization’s achievements and, most importantly, honoring the dedication of our employees.

More than 200 team members attended, alongside leaders from Catholic Health Services, including President and CEO Mary Jo Frick, who delivered an inspiring message of gratitude.

The event also recognized three distinguished employees who were recognized for their remarkable tenure of 25 and 30 years of service. Dr. Benjamin Villalba who celebrates 25 years of service shared a heartfelt reflection, attributing his passion for serving others to his faith in God.

In addition, the organization honored outstanding team members with Employee Excellence Awards, celebrating those who exemplify the mission of compassionate care across clinical, administrative and leadership roles. Congratulations to this year’s recipients and our deepest appreciation to ALL our employees for their steadfast dedication and exceptional contributions to our mission.
