Well it’s a little late for a new year’s blog but I thought I would update everyone on the weight situation anyway. Last year many of us set out to change our habits. We went on diets, started exercising and pretty much wanted to be better, healthier.
Many of my friends and readers did really well. They exercised more regularly, dieted and actually most were able to shed some weight.
As for me, well…
I did manage to cut back, walk a little more, incorporated some yoga and Pilates, but there was no weight loss really. I documented my food intake on my favorite site MyFitnessPal.com and I understood what I was doing wrong but I just couldn’t get to that point where I needed to be to jump start. I was very frustrated.
Some of my friends were going to try the HCG diet. I really thought this was not a good thing, I was skeptical. After seeing their success I decided to read all about it and get informed. I became a believer so I tried it myself. I am happy to say that I have finally lost 10 pounds and I am feeling so much better. This diet really helped me get to that point where I really could see a difference and it was easy to follow.
There are many ways to accomplish your goals and each person is different and needs to find their best path to success. For me it was HCG. For you it may be South Beach or Weight Watchers. Several of my friends used these others and had great success. I plan on following South Beach after I reach my goal in order to maintain.
I suppose what I want you to get out of this is that you should not give up and sometimes it takes some of us a year to get to that point of jumping off the board and doing what has to be done. If you need encouragement or you have any questions please write us and we will try to help. Some books that were quite helpful for me were: Simply Simeons: A Quick Guide to the Most Popular HCG Diet on the Planet by Robyn Brook and Marsha Brook and Pounds & Inches: A New Approach To Obesity by Dr. A.T.W Simeons
