St. Anne’s visits Fairchild Gardens for Alzheimer’s therapy program

Horticultural Therapy Program for Individuals Living with Alzheimer’s

Fairchild Botancial Gardens offers a complimentary “Our Plants and People Horticultural Therapy Program” for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and encourages those living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers to interact with the garden in an enjoyable and relaxing way. They connect you and your loved one with the beauty of the garden, including the scent of allspice leaves, blooming flowering trees, birds, butterflies and much more while enjoying a guided tour of Fairchild and a delicious lunch.  The program concludes with a special butterfly release in Wings of the Tropics.

The residents of St. Anne’s Nursing Center enjoyed this special outing.  Please take a look at our photo gallery for pictures from this event.
