On Wednesday, June 21st, St. Anne’s Nursing Center and Residence, raised over $1000 for the Alzheimer’s Association having The Longest Day fundraiser. The Longest Day fundraising event supports Alzheimer’s disease care and research and the event symbolizes the difficult journey of those living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. St. Anne’s surpassed their goal of $800. Some of the fun activities they had for their staff, residents and family members were Tai Chi, Bowling/Ping Pong, Zumba and an art auction. They even sold hotdogs and hamburgers and a very minimal cost. A wonderful way to give back to the community and also educate about Alzheimer’s.
