On Tuesday, January 12th, the Most Reverend Thomas G. Wenski, Archbishop of Miami, along with Catholic Health Services held a beautiful dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony at St. Joseph Manor. They also acknowledged Chisholm Architects and Beauchamp Construction along with Department of Housing & Urban Development for their participation. After the dedication, Archbishop Wenski blessed each floor of the new complex.
The 62 unit apartment building opened in August 2015 and filled to capacity shortly after. The building is very well maintained and the grounds provide a lovely home where seniors can enjoy numerous activities and conveniences, including: group outings, educational programs, common rooms for club gatherings, exercise classes, and sitting areas for visitors. It also has a computer center where residents will soon have access to the Internet.
“The residents that call St. Joseph Manor home here are just wonderful. They love and appreciate living here. We have truly become a family” states Tony Vazquez, Building Manager at St. Joseph Manor.
St. Joseph Manor is also on the same campus as St. Joseph Haitian Mission Catholic church which makes it convenient to attend mass.
St. Joseph Manor is one of sixteen Independent Living Facilities operated by Catholic Housing Management low income elderly housing community located in Pompano Beach.
