WOUND CARE:

The Center for Wound Care at St. Catherine’s Rehabilitation Hospital, incorporates a comprehensive treatment approach for a variety of wounds. Our team approach to treatment coordinates the use of a variety of clinical treatments, debridement, medications, dressing, and support services to treat chronic wounds that has proven highly effective in facilitating the healing process. The team coordinates treatment with the referring physician, family, and home care services.

ALS (AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS aka LOU GEHRIG'S DISEASE) MULTIDISCIPLINARY CLINICS:

The ALS Clinic works in conjunction with the University of Miami, Department of Neurology, Dr. Ashok Verma and Dr. Khema Sharma. Patients are seen at U of M and then are scheduled (pending diagnosis) to the Multidisciplinary clinic at St. Catherine’s Rehab Hospital. The clinic approach incorporates Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy screenings, Psychology/ Social Worker, Respiratory Services, and a physician visit.

ALS Clinic- every Wednesday 1pm - 4pm

PARKINSON'S DISEASE MULTIDISCIPLINARY CLINIC

The Parkinson’s clinic works with the University of Miami, Department of Neurology, Dr. Carlos Singer. Patient’s are seen first by the physician at the University and then are referred to the clinic at St. Catherine’s which takes place on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 1pm to 4pm. This clinic incorporates a multidisciplinary team approach which involves Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy evaluations, Social Worker, Nursing and a physician visit.
