Catholic Hospice

Catholic Hospice is a community-based not-for-profit program serving the community since 1988.

Catholic Hospice assists families in caring for a loved one with reverence and dignity at the most vulnerable time in life’s journey.

When curative medical treatment is no longer an option, the focus shifts to supporting patient’s quality of life. Catholic Hospice provides responsive end-of-life care for patients of all ages and faiths.

Catholic Hospice is committed to preserving a patient’s dignity and comfort by providing expert pain control and symptom management. We provide spiritual and psychological support in order to help patients live their life to the fullest of their capacity. Catholic Hospice provides comprehensive comfort care for patients and a helping hand for their family.

Hospice care is available to anyone who has a life-limiting illness with a life expectancy of six months or less and who wants the services. Anyone can refer a patient to Catholic Hospice by calling (305) 822-2380.

Catholic Hospice’s services are 100% covered by Medicare and Medicaid, as well as most insurance plans. This benefit covers the care provided by the Team, medications, medical equipment and supplies related to the life-limiting illness. Discounted or full financial assistance is available for qualified patients without insurance.

Patients and their families do not need to worry about processing complicated paperwork or bills. All billing with Medicare, Medicaid and insurance is done for you by Catholic Hospice.

Catholic Hospice utilizes a team of professionals including the physician, nurse, chaplain, social worker, nurse’s aide, dietician, bereavement counselor, pharmacist, trained hospice volunteer and others as needed to care for the specific needs of the patient and family.
