Fr. Ogboe knew as a child growing up in a village in Nigeria that he was to make a difference in people’s lives. As a boy, he assisted in the local center for the under-privileged which was sponsored by his family. Fr. Ogboe was ordained in the Diocese of Issele-Uku having attended Saints Peter & Paul Seminary in Ibadan, Nigeria. He continued studies in Nigeria and in Rome. In the United States, Fr. Ogboe earned an M.A. Degree and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Fr. Ogboe was then selected for a residency program in Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E) at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He served for three years as a Chaplain at the hospital and was named the Assistant Director for Catholic patients.
