Fr. Alia was born in Nigeria and was ordained in 1990 in the Diocese of Makurdi. Fr. Alia received degrees in Theology and Philosophy in Nigeria and after coming to the United States studied at Fordham University in New York. While there Fr. Alia earned an M.A. Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling. He continued his education at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, earning an M.A. Degree in Health Care Ethics and also a Ph.D. in Health Care Ethics.
Fr. Alia is the Director of Pastoral Care at CHS North Campus and has made a true impact on the patients, residents and staff. He is quick to point out, “the mission and values of CHS are dear to me personally as they reaffirm what I believe service to humanity entails”.
