Low Income Elderly Housing
Catholic Housing Management operates fourteen HUD subsidized apartment complexes in Miami-Dade and Broward County. All apartment communities are for active, independent seniors with limited financial resources.

Meticulously maintained buildings and beautiful grounds provide a lovely home where seniors can enjoy a variety of activities and conveniences, including group outings, educational programs, common rooms, libraries, exercise classes and on-site visiting vendors. Most are walking distance to shopping areas and places of worship.

The staff at each Catholic Housing Management community plans their activities and monthly events calendar based on the tastes, likes, interests and suggestions of the residents they serve. There are always interesting and fun places to visit or lectures, educational programs and hobby-oriented meetings to attend. Wellness nurses, who take blood pressure, review medications and answer general health care questions, also routinely visit most of the communities.

Four of our residences are part of the newly developed HUD subsidized "Neighborhood Networks". This special program has placed Internet accessible computers in CHM communities, offering our residents a brand new window to the world and new horizons to explore. Classes are offered to all who want to participate.

Each Catholic Housing Management Residence is staffed with an on-site building manager, assistant, social worker and a corps of helpful volunteers, facilitating activities, assisting with resolving issues and ensuring a pristine and efficiently run living environment. On-site Managers ensure the smooth operations of every aspect of the community. Staff social workers are available to assist residents with any number of issues that may arise.

Applications for residence are accepted at each individual facility. Applicants should be relatively mobile, self-sufficient, a minimum of 62 years of age and qualify under the maximum income level status.
